OHDSI Call: Mentoring Georgia Tech Students in Building Health Apps

Hi all,

Georgia Tech has a super cool course on building health apps, focused on FHIR. We’ve got 200+ developers, designers, and data scientists signed up for this coming semester. I’m looking for domain experts with interesting ideas for apps (anything health-related, from clinical to population health to cost, quality, safety, etc) that they’d like to see built into reality. The whole course is virtual and mentoring can be done from anywhere. Typically requires 4-5 hours over the course of the semester to get your team on the right path and see them through to the final product. Apps are open-source unless you specify otherwise. Submit your project ideas on our Project Submission page.

For more details about the course and mentoring, see this CS6440 Information Page.

Feel free to reply to this thread or PM me with any questions.

Thanks!

Jon

ps. Here are a few project proposals from last semester:
A FHIR-Enabled Automated Patient Newsletter
Information Capture for Reduction of Hospital Readmissions
A Streaming Sepsis Prediction System for Intensive Care Units
Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury in Pediatric Patients
FHIR-Based Physician Dashboard for Opioid Pain Management
