Are there any LOINC groupers/categories that are available based on diagnosis?
Yes, we are looking to map the lab test to a diagnosis. In some cases we realize that the LOINC may map to a handful of diagnoses.
I don’t think that is straightforward. It would be a one to potentially very many map. Take white blood cell count. There are a gazillion of reasons why there could be a leukocytosis or leukopenia in the blood. The most common diagnosis is “make sure everything is ok”.
