We are planning-out upcoming releases of Atlas/WebAPI for this year and wanted to provide a few key dates that we’re targeting:
• Next release target: 2/28/2018. We are using GitHub to organize and detail contributions that the community would like to make as part of this release here: https://github.com/OHDSI/WebAPI/issues/301. We’d kindly ask that all ideas be posted by 1/23/2018. Any/all pull requests will need to be submitted by 2/14/2018 to provide time for review, testing and documentation updates.
We are also planning 2 more releases in the future:
1. 5/1/2018: We’ll ask for ideas for contributions on 3/15 and aim to have all work finalized by 4/15 for inclusion into this release.
2. 9/1/2018: This will be our pre-Symposium release; we’ll solicit for contributions starting on 6/1 and aim to have all work finalized by 8/15.
It is also worth noting: if you have ideas and/or on-going development that is being done for Atlas/WebAPI, we’d encourage you to post an ‘issue’ describing your work on the WebAPI repository to raise community awareness and to foster collaboration. There is no obligation to commit to one of the planned release dates and the work can carry on as it makes sense for the collaborators. The planned releases provide a target for those that want to aim to have new features included in the platform and want to contribute to the release effort. Contributions around a release are not restricted solely to code; we can use help with testing, documentation and providing feedback/input on new features.
