Apparent discrepancy re: NDC 6611604350; Concept table, V5 schema

I have discovered an apparent discrepancy between the Medi-span database and the OMOP v5 Concept table.

Medispan Generic Product has
NDC 6611604350 mapped to 36100020100310 (Enalapril Maleate Tab 10mg)

OMOP V5 Concept table has
NDC 6611604350 mapped to concept code 46342714 Tamsulin Hydrochloride

To determine which of the two is correct, I went to RxNav.at the NLM. It has no record for NDC 66116043530.
I then went to the NDC Directory at the FDA, expecting the same results. Sure enough, it too has no record of that code.

Would someone please explain to me what is happening here?

Welcome to the wonderful world of NDC, where no authoritative source has the full truth. Most likely, the NDC came from GPI and it was wrong. But we are doing a refresh of GPI, let’s see whether that fixes it. If not we’ll debug.
