Amazing things are ongoing in Korea

A three-year governmental research grant providing 4M USD on OMOP-CDM was noticed in Korea. Now 2 or 3 teams are competing for the grant. Amazing thing is the number of hospitals joining the teams. Each team seems that they have at least 10-20 hospitals in their consortium. That means that each of the joining hospital had expressed to convert their EMR data into CDM and willing to share their data to others. If we win, then we will support the rest of the hospitals. Let’s see what happens in this year in Korea!

That is EXTREMELY exciting! Thank you for your tremendous leadership in
Korea, @rwpark. You are certainly setting a remarkable example for how
open science can promote and enable a large network of collaborators to
come together for a common cause, and serve as a strong role model for
others in the commmunity to learn from and emulate. Please let us know how
the rest of the OHDSI community can help you and the rest of the interested
hospital collaborators in this pursuit. Great work!
